Home Rules Qualifying Works NOMINATE 2008 Schedule Updates Blue Moon MySpace Blog Contact Us About Us Blue Moon Awards Stories, Sites and Works of Art do NOT have to have sexual content to qualify for this award....however if works of a more adult nature offend you...you are in the wrong place. In general we are looking for any type of fan work; written (any length), art (hand-drawn, manip, video, etc.) and/or websites that have an adult flare. Written works with a rating of "R" or higher are greatly encouraged and are expected to be the bulk of this program. We seek never to impinge on anyone's Freedom of Speech or Freedom of Expression, we believe that all Artists should be free to Create Art in whatever manner they see fit to do so in so long as no physical being is harmed in the pursuit of Art. We realize that, like Beauty, Art is also in the eye of the beholder and that, as adults, you should be free to like whatever it is that you like. We do not hide behind the guise of 'good taste' as we believe that is only a thinly veiled and polite form of censorship. As such, you will not be penalized if the story you would like to nominate contains any of the following: Abuse--physical, emotional and/or mentalAddiction--drug, alcohol or other Adult Dramatic Content Erotica Incest (consensual or otherwise) Kink Multiple Sexual Partners Rape Sex Sensuality Torture Violence and other adult themes All of the above content is allowed in this program. Works for a general audience may be submitted for this award but are not greatly encouraged. If possible, works with an "R" and/or "NC/17" rating will be placed in their own categories with "PG-13" separate therefrom if possible. Anything "G" rated will automatically be placed into a General Audiences category. ALL nominated works must be on websites that are open to the public, no mailing list stories please. Nothing on a website which requires membership or a password to gain entry. Any story or artwork nominated that does not display a working email link or contact box to the author/creator will be disqualified. We must have a way to contact the nominee. Please see the Rules Page for further information NON-Qualifying Works We are NOT accepting:1. Parody Works 2. Real Person Fic 3. WIPs (Works in Progress) 4. Crossover Works* *Crossovers-this type of work was added to the Non-Accepted List on April 24, 2008. We had thought that was self-explanatory since 'Crossover' wasn't listed as a category choice to begin with, our bad and we apologize. We are trying to keep the focus of this program on Stargate SG-1 and its very talented and creative fans rather than bringing in other fandoms at this time. However, to be fair, all crossover nominations presented to us before April 24, 2008 were accepted and will go forward. Those received after that date are ineligible. Categories Categories will be selected by the nominee after being notified of their nomination. There will be as many categories as nominations allow for with the minimum being three nominations. If we can't find a category for a particular work we will try as hard as we can to find another appropriate category for that work. Foreseeable FanFiction Categories
With much thanks and appreciation to the responding nominees who were asked to choose two categories from the list below
