For novels, short stories, etc.,--We accept stories from 20,000 to 250,000 words mainly in the dark romance or paranormal romance genres. All heat levels accepted, HEA or HFN is NOT required, no subject is taboo. In fact, the darker and grittier, the more in-your-face the more we like it. On the whole we are seeking ONLY stories in which the main relationship is male/female. Scenes of threesomes/group are welcome but the main theme must be the relationship between the lead male and female characters in your story. Stories with sidelines containing lesbian/gay relationships are also welcome but this relationship must be secondary and not primary to your story.
Light, sweet, sticky romance--if you can pour it on your morning pancakes do not send it to us
Pure smut--if it doesn't have a juicy plot we don't want it
Cliche Vampire/Werewolf/Zombie tales--the market is flooded with this type of material at the moment, however, if your story has some originality to it, send it, we'll look at it

If accepted, you are expected to sign a one year self-terminating contract with Moon Mistress, royalties are: 70% author/30% publisher, your copyright stays with you. At the end of the year you are free to leave however the ISBN and Book Cover remain with us. You are free to obtain new ones. Your book will made available on Kindle, Nook, iBooks, SmashWords, All Romance E-Books, Diesel, Kobo and other ebook retailers as well as being available on our site. You will be given your own page on our site with bio and links to your works. It also includes an author's page on GoodReads, Amazon.com, and SmashWords.We try to garner reviews/interviews and guest spots with bloggers, however, we also appreciate it if the author takes some initiative in these areas. We cannot guarantee your book will be reviewed or that it will receive a favorable review.
