Chapter Sixty-Two

Greek Isles

Standing on the cliff edge in the freezing cold, Calla thought it possible she found an answer to her query and used what little magick she had left to travel to Zeus’ Palace on the Islands.  Yes, like Olympus, it had been blown to hell but she hoped that, if used up all the rest of her magick, she could coax the Gazing Room into working for her. With it, she was sure she would be able to locate her Children. Calla tried several times over the years to use the Gazing Room to find Wolfgar with no success but she understood now that was because he had learned to mask his magick.  She was looking for a boy who was part Olympian but to the Gazing Room, he appeared just another normal Mortal boy on Earth, nothing more than that.  Her Children, however, would be different.

Thankful the warmer climate she stumbled through the ruins of the old Palace.  “I need one more favor Grandfather,” she said in a small voice as she looked around the dusty room with its three remaining walls.

Perhaps Maeve was right and her plan was tantamount to jumping off the cliff into the unforgiving sea but she would rather jump off the cliff than into bed with Nicholas.  Somewhere in Wolfgar lay the heart of an Olympian—not that that was necessarily a good thing but it was something—as such, if she could just get a few moments alone with him, she still hoped to trade herself for her Family and that he would keep his word.  To see that he did then she would make him let the Children go before she agreed to let him escort her to the Underworld.

Walking up to the most intact wall remaining here in the Gazing Room sliding the palm of her hand across the black marble to remove the dust she caught sight of her own reflection once more.  “I can do this,” she whispered to the old woman staring back at her, “I can save them all one last time.”

Daniel, the reflection whispered back.

Calla stumbled away from the wall. “What did you say?” She said in disbelief as she looked around certain someone had followed her and was playing a trick on her old addled mind.

Daniel, what of Daniel? The old woman in the black marble inquired.

The one thing standing in the way of her otherwise seemingly perfect plan. The thought of no longer being near her made her eyes sting with tears and her heart ache. She would sacrifice anything for him and there was an upside—at least she thought so. “Will be better off without this old woman.” Calla challenged without much heart. If she were no longer in his life then Daniel would be free to find a much younger and more suitable love to share his bed.  It was clear that he did not want this old hag in there any longer. “You know it, no go away.”

With a deep frown, the reflection in the black marble fell silent.

Summoning up all of the magick she could find Calla rubbed her hands together quickly before commanding; “Show me my Children.”  With all of the energy in her Calla concentrated on the happy faces of her Son, Daughters, and Granddaughters. “Show me. Where are you? Please, feel me,” she begged, “send me a sign, tell me where you are, I’ll come for you.”

On Mount Olympus Wolfgar was enjoying his first turn at the Queen of Altair Ain when some strange force began to creep up the back of spine.

“MOM!” Colleen shouted as she tried to vain to push her Nephew off her. “MOM!”

“Shut up!” Wolfgar snarled as he backhanded her across the face.  “Is that you, Grandmother?” He asked aloud. “Can you feel me now?”  Below Colleen let out a shrill scream as he surged in and out of her. “You feel this, Grandmother?!”

**

Calla did feel it.  Every inch of it. “Stop it! Leave her alone! Oh, please…please, stop!” She cried out and went to the wall before her as it began to lit up and show her a very odd map of planet Earth.  Not detailed in topography but in people, shadows and faces of people passing by on the wall and she searched through them. “Colleen! I know you hear me! Where are you?!”

**

Colleen wanted nothing more than to scream out her location as she bucked below Wolfgar but if she did, she knew her Mother would come and Colleen feared that Calla would come alone.

“Where is she?” Wolfgar demanded of Colleen.

“I don’t know.”

“Where is she!?” He spat angrily. To emphasize his point, one of the hands that had been groping her breast now clamped down around her alabaster throat. “Where?” He whispered maliciously.

Colleen knew her Mother’s location all too well though she tried to hide it. “I don’t know.” Colleen returned in a terrified whisper and tried not to think of her Mother standing in….

“What? What is it?” Wolfgar snarled as an image appeared in Colleen’s mind but disappeared too quickly for him to view. “Where?!” The bitch below him lay silent and took what he doled out. Stubborn whore, just like her Mother. Grandmother had to be someplace which amplified her powers but where could such a place be? “Perhaps you don’t understand your predicament, my Queen.” Wolfgar mused as his cock danced inside of her. “Perhaps if I bring Lilly in here and have a little Mother/Daughter action you’ll get my point? Would you like that, Aunty Coley? She is incredibly sweet and young and so very much untouched by anyone but…well…me.” He crooned.  “Would you like to feel your daughter’s tongue between your legs while I ram her from behind?”

The revolting idea filled Colleen with a new strength and she ripped Wolfgar’s hand away from her throat. “Touch my daughter again and I’ll rip your black heart out of your chest.”

Wolfgar licked his lips as he hovered over her and pushed as deeply as he could into her. “I’ll take that as a ‘yes’.”

Though the others were powerless in Zeus’ Dungeon, they heard Colleen scream out for Calla. “She’s here?” Athena asked. “Mom?”

“I don’t know,” Aiden replied, “I feel…something….can’t you feel it?”

“Yeah,” Amy agreed and held her stomach as it knotted and then did flip-flops.

“Grandpa and the rest must be here too then, right?” Lilly asked with the heightened hope of a Mortal. Having to sit here in this cage listening to that animal rape her own mother was more she thought she could take. If he didn’t stop soon she was sure her mind was going to snap like a twig. How could I love him? How could I have ever loved him? These were the questions she asked over and over but received no answer.

The triplets silently agreed that it meant nothing of the kind. “I’m not even sure she’s really here but if not she’s trying. Somehow, she’s looking for us.” Athena said trying not to be negative in this dire situation, after all that was what her Mother would want her to do.

Everyone except Brigid and Kiki seemed aware of Calla’s attempts. Brigid just huddled in the corner of her cell cloaked in Aiden’s shirt. She hadn’t said a word since Rasputin brought her back from Wolfgar’s bedroom hours ago. Brigid just sat there with her knees drawn up to her chin and her hands wrapped around her shins rocking back and forth.

Suddenly feeling as though he had to dash home or face a harsh punishment, Aiden asked; “Do you hear that?” He stopped and took stock of his words. “Wait, I mean, do you feel that? Do you…?”

It was more of a feeling then words but the two went together very well and what they could not make out with one they understood with the other.

“Sort of,” Amy agreed.  “It’s like when we were little and she couldn’t find us, she’s calling our names. Is that what you hear?”

“And she sounds really pissed.” Athena said nodding her head.

Aiden! Amy! Athena! Brigid! Lilly! Kiki! Where are you? Answer me! Right this minute! You ANSWER ME!

The triplets tried to comply but their efforts were being blocked by the power of the Dungeon.

In the Gazing Room the swirling faces of thousands upon thousands of people passing by on the black marble stopped. For a brief moment, the stone was quiet until an image, big as the entire 30-foot wall began to take shape. “Where? Oh tell me where?” Calla ran her hands along the wall giving it her own energy to aid the image in clarifying itself. “WHERE!” Frantic and filled with panic she began to pound her small fists against the marble. “WHERE ARE YOU?”  The next sound she made a harsh gasp as she tumbled backward.

Zeus.

The wall filled with the image of Zeus’ face and with…and with…with...

“Grandfather?”

Just as she laid the fingertips of her mind on the meaning of the image, her old stumbling feet landed on a large chunk of marble. Twisting her ankle to the point of breaking she rolled over in the air trying to catch herself and break the coming fall but all she succeeded in breaking was her arm just before her forehead smashed against the marble floor of the Gazing Room.

On top of Mount Olympus, in Zeus’s Dungeon, the sound of their Mother’s voice and the feeling that they had to run home for something very important disappeared. “Where is she? What happened?” Aiden demanded of his Sisters.

Amy and Athena exchanged a worried glance before agreeing they did not have the slightest clue what was going on other than, whatever it is, it was over for the time being. “Maybe it was enough,” Athena encouraged, “perhaps enough for her to hone in on Coley at least since she’s not trapped in here with us.”

“So what do we do?”

Athena gave a sly knowing grin and wondered why her siblings were suddenly looking to her for leadership and guidance. That never happened before. “The only thing we can do, Aiden. Wait.” She said patiently.  “Try to plan a way out of here.”  With a hesitant sigh, she gave voice to something that had been rolling around in her head for the last little while. “There has to be one, you know.” Slowly she made her way to the bars that separated her cell from Amy’s. On the other side of Amy’s Cell Aiden came forward as well.  “Zeus was very intelligent, I don’t think he would have built this place without leaving himself a way out just in case someone imprisoned him here, do you? We have to think like him.”

Aiden opened his mouth but then closed it just as quickly. Good advice considering the source; “Maybe you’ll grow into your namesake after all.” He agreed with a nod of his blonde head. “Maybe.” Aiden began to look around. “Think like Zeus, Mom would be better at that.”

“No doubt,” Amy chimed in and went to the bars at the front of her cell.  “We still have to try. So what would the old coot do? Trap door? False wall? What?”

Everyone began to scan their surrounding with a keener stare.

Colleen’s raised voice was heard as Wolfgar pushed her down the hallway and then through the door at the top of the cold marble stairs.  “Mom!” Lilly called out at the sight of her own mother, naked, bleeding and with a rather large knife to her throat. “You bastard! Let go of my mother!”

“Gladly, in just a moment, my love.” Wolfgar, also devoid of clothing, cooed.  Rasputin appeared in the doorway behind them only to follow them down the stairs.  “Open it,” Wolfgar demanded just before Rasputin slid the key into the lock of Lilly’s cell. “Bring the little bitch out here.”

“Don’t.” Colleen begged.

“You think I’m kidding?” Wolfgar dared. “Hum?” He pressed the knife harder against her delicate throat. “Put her on her knees.”

“No! Don’t!” Colleen began to wail.

“Where is she!?” He thundered in her ear.

“Mom….”

“Cole…”

“Don’t…”

Rasputin pushed the young girl to her knees in front of her mother.  “How do you like it? Hum? What turns you on?” The Mad Monk asked Colleen. “What do you want to see her do? Personally I’m dying to find out how talented she is with this pretty little mouth of her.” He pinched her cheeks hard in the crook of his hand between the thumb and forefinger under her lips puckered up like some crazy kissing fish.

Colleen gave in, she did not want to. She wanted to be strong like her Mother would be under these conditions, she wanted to tell them all to go to hell but…but…that was Lilly they had on her knees and she couldn’t, no, she just couldn’t. “The Gazing Room, she’s in the Gazing Room on the Islands.”

Oh, Mom, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry but I can’t let him hurt Lilly.

Wolfgar nodded at the cell and a very disappointed Rasputin tossed Lilly back into it before the man himself shoved Colleen back into her own cell.  “You better be right.” He warned.  “If you’re fucking with me….”

“I’m not,” Colleen confessed. “Don’t hurt my Mother, she’s an old woman now, she can’t do you any harm. Please just leave her in peace.”

“How sweet,” Wolfgar said and blew her a kiss.
