Barters N Garters Library Chapter Eleven For the second time that night Zeus was interrupted by unexpected company demanding to be let into the Dungeon. The close-knit band of rescuers would not take ‘no’ for an answer. Zeus had gone back to sleep but rather holed up in his Gazing Room with Poseidon and Morpheus both of whom he’d called forth moments after Ares left. The three of them had been mulling over the situation ever since. None of them could go in under these circumstances. It was obvious that Megan was able to retain her powers when she revealed her true identity it made that fact easier to understand. The body was a clone; it was not original material and although said original material was Olympian in origin the soul within had never given up its Titan status. “That witch.” Zeus grumbled. “What are we going to do?” It was at this moment that the heavy brass knocker on his outer door began pounding. Zeus ran to the door, opened it to find his Great-Grandchildren along with the warrior Achilles and friends of Daniel Jackson. He took in the weapons in their hands as they entered his palace, many of them for the first time. The Old Man’s face brightened. “This way, hurry up!” He told them and scampered swiftly as he could back to the Gazing Room. “I see we’re late to the party.” Jack said as he looked around at the two other Olympians. “Just gonna stand around trading stories?” “Listen.” Zeus said in a hissing tone and pointed his staff toward the far wall where the events transpiring in the Dungeon were playing out for their amusement. Ares was in a cage and he was not happy with that fact at all. In fact, the big man had the bars in his big mitts and was doing his best to pry them apart while Daniel and David struggled with the shackles at their wrists and made the oddest little guttural sounds Jack had ever heard. In the dank room was Megan who by now was well on her way to finally becoming the Triple Goddess. All that had to happen was for Daniel and David to consent and Callestah would have no choice but to leave the body for that of the clone taking Ares’ baby with her. The Dual Goddess who looked like Calla but was not, had the real one out of her cage and was compelling her toward a large wood and metal board upon which were two sets of shackles one for the wrists and the other the ankles. “Let’s find out how tough you all are, shall we?” Powerless without her magick to fall back on, Calla fought the energy around her but continued to slide forward on unwilling feet closer and closer toward the place where they would hold her. Kanan had a bed like this. Kanan had many things similar to the items in this room. Her voice not restrained by magick spell, Calla began making low guttural noises of resistance but she was trying to be quiet so as not to add to the helplessness and the guilt Megan was inflicting on Daniel and David. She had to be quiet for their sake and her own. Sounds only made it worse. They added to the torturer’s pleasure and made it all that much harder in the end. Silent. Megan had to be stopped. Nothing beyond that mattered. “Open the door, Zeus.” Nick demanded. “We’re goin’ in.” A large gold key strung on a gold chain appeared in the Old Man’s hand. “It will unlock their chains and his cell.” He pressed into Nicholas’ palm. “Redemption comes to every man, some sooner than later.” “What’s he talkin’ about?” Jack asked abruptly. No one answered him. Nick looped the chain around his neck and grabbed his Great-Grandfather by the upper arm in a traditional hand shake. “I will earn it.” On the far side of the black marble room a door appeared. “You can’t let her escape. You must kill her.” Poseidon said as the small group neared him. “I know she looks like your Mother but she is not.” “Yeah, we got that, Uncle.” Colleen said quickly. Behind them there was the unmistakable sound of metal meeting metal and becoming one. Each shackle was locked into place if they turned around they would see Calla, naked and spread eagle on the ancient torture device, they would see the whip in one hand and the hot metal poker in the other as the Dual Goddess loomed over the prey she’d hunted so long. Finally victory was within reach, if they turned around they’d know how close she was and that she could smell it in the air. But they did not turn around, not even when the sharp tha-wack of the whip came down. Ares’ howled in protest which was accompanied by the grunting groans of two silenced men. Therefore they did not think they’d lost the battle before it began. Surely no one was going to put up with that very long. Either Calla would break from sheer agony or one of the Jacksons would cave from having to watch the woman they so loved to fuck suffer in this most brutal way. Th-Wack! Saa-Wack! The whip came down again and again driven by a skilled hand. Calla did not scream and she did not cry out, not once. I will not break. It was her mantra under these circumstances and she said it slowly and deliberately so that there was no mistaking her words, I will not break. In this position she could make eye contact with the men across from her, Daniel was crying and David was trying not to look. Off to her left and behind Ares’ rattled his cage like a pissed off hyena. He threatened the Dual Goddess with great bodily harm if she did not stop. Of course until or unless Ares got out of the cage his threats were meaningless and she just went right on flogging the woman—the Daughter!—who’d brought her so much pain and misery. “Little bitch,” the woman spat as she brought the whip down once more with feeling then turned to look at Daniel and David. “Consent.” She demanded. No. Calla telegraphed. Don’t. Both them heard her loud and clear but it was so hard to remain silent. Daniel wanted to scream but each time he tried only the most pitiful rush of air came out. He couldn’t be here, he couldn’t keep watching. This was a horrible horrible nightmare or hallucination, yes that was it, it wasn’t real at all. He couldn’t possibly be chained to a wall watching this absolutely surreal scenario play out. Calla was actually able to carry out the act of self-destructing right here, in front of him, and in the most masochistic way he could imagine! After all there were two of them and she had another Calla to punish and well, to destroy. This was a freaking nightmare! Daniel, he had the power to make it all go away to make it stop. All he had to do was…. No. Daniel, hanging limply by the wrists looked over at his bleeding and suffering Wife. I love you. I love you. Don’t say yes. You promised, no matter how ugly it got you would not consent. This was uglier than he bargained for! If nothing else she was pregnant. Even if it wasn’t his, even if it was David’s… ….Or Ares’… Stuck in the chains the only thing he could was pray. Oh God, it’s me, Daniel. Look, ok, please, I know maybe its Ares’ baby or David’s or…who cares? I don’t care, I swear, I don’t care! But, please no, please just make that wretched woman stop hurting my Wife. “No?” Megan the Dual Goddess asked the men in the room. “Fine. That’s not my only trick. How do you like this one?” She dropped the whip and raised the glowing metal rod. “This should give a new meaning to ‘hot beef injection’, don’t you think, boys?” The cruel woman positioned the tip of the rod between Calla’s legs. “Of course the child she carries may not survive.” “Don’t you dare!” Ares as he pulled at the bars in his hands. He was right while his magick didn’t work down here his superior strength spurred onward but his utter hatred of the woman torturing his Daughter did work and in his mitts the bars were finally softening. Soon he’d be out and then there’d be no stopping the lengths of agony he was going to put that bitch through before he ended her life. “Consent!” She demanded moving in closer still. Calla twitched in a futile attempt to be away from the heat. No, I’d rather be dead than live inside her. “Dannnn-iel,” the Dual Goddess chided in a sing-song voice. “I know you’re not as strong as she wants you to be.” She held the tip of the smoldering metal until it hovered mere centimeters from his very favorite toy, which just happened to be a very intricate part of his very favorite person. “Consent.” Calla just laid there, the entire time, she didn’t cry or moan or scream or anything. I’m sorry, Kitty, I can’t let her…I can’t watch this anymore. “Close your eyes, Beautiful.” Calla whispered. I’m not that brave. I’m not like you. The poker with its glowing smoldering tip moved just a smidge closer to Calla’s tender flesh. “No! Daniel, No!” Tears streaming down his face as the strength left his body, he couldn’t stop it now even if he tried so Daniel gave in. “I-I-I c-c—co…I….consent.” That said, the woman’s spell was broken and Daniel had freedom of speech once more. “I’m sorry, Calla, I love you.” “Love! Ah! Jackson you idiot!” Ares roared and pulled harder at the bars. “You! Don’t you dare say it, David!” He ordered as he continued trying to free himself. “Don’t you even come close!” “Yes, what about it, David?” The Dual Goddess taunted breathlessly. The tension in the room was making her increasingly desirous. There were so many good looking men to choose from to scratch her itch. Looking back over her shoulder Megan picked up the poker and removed it from the threatened area. “As I recall you like these,” without warning or mercy she pressed the glowing metal down onto Calla’s left nipple. I will not break. “No! Stop it! No!” Daniel screamed. The woman secured to the board bucked and flailed as she tried to be away from the searing heat. I will NOT break! “Let’s see how you like it now.” Megan wondered as she took the rod away to reveal the charred blackened nipple and seared flesh below. “It’s a bit well done I’m afraid.” Aw fuck! Aw, Callie! Callie, kan yew hear me, gurl? An’sa me! Wot do you want me ta do? Callie? David danced and fought with the chains holding him back. “Oh, god! Kitty! Can you hear me? Kitty?” Daniel yelled and strained against the chains. “Say it Davy! Quick before she does it again!” “I’m going to watch you bleed, you malicious bitch!” Ares roared and the bars finally gave way. Distracted by Ares sudden escape Megan turned her full attention to them, silently SG-1 and the others crept into the room fanning out behind her. “Watch me bleed? I don’t think so, Lover. I’m going to torture her until he agrees, then I’m going to kill her. You’ll watch her bleed buckets before the night is over.” Conjuring up a shield of protection, Megan charged at the God of War who was emerging from his cell. This was going to be easier than they thought. That was the last thing Jack O’Neill remembered thinking before the shit hit the fan. “Fire!” O’Neill ordered. Jack, Sam and Teal’c raised their weapons and fired at the woman who looked so much like their very good friend Calla Jackson. They hardly had enough time to realize what was happening and to duck for cover as, much to their amazement, the hail bullets they fired ricocheted back at them as they bounced off of the Dual Goddess’ shield. One round flew back to hit Sam in the shoulder ripping apart the tendons there. Another caught Teal’c in the leg just as he was diving out of the way and still another caught Colleen in the chest before she could raise the bow. As she went down she took in the expression of shocked horror on her Grandfather’s face. “Cole!” Nick shouted coming to her aid and taking her up in his arms. “You’re all right, you’re gonna be all right, we’re Immortal, right?” There was a bright round splotch of Ichor on her blouse; it oozed through her fingers no matter how hard she tried to keep it in. In his arms she started to shake. “No, Coley, don’t you die on me baby sister, don’t do it.” He pulled her to the relative safety of a corner in the Dungeon. “Nicky,” she rasped. “Go, free Mom and Dad, you gotta do it.” Colleen, one hand to the wound at her chest reached out for the key around his neck. “Lilly,” “I don’t wanna hear it. She’s fine, you’re fine.” Nicholas, his heart thudding away in his chest and the sound of the battle echoing behind him kissed Colleen’s forehead. “You’re her momma nobody else. You’re gonna get back to her.” With that bit of reassurance and a peck on the cheek, he left her side to head for Teal’c. “You’re both hurt, get out of here, take my Sister and get back through the door.” “I will continue to fight.” Teal’c insisted. “No, once you get through she can heal both of you. Go.” No more words Nicholas sprinted across the room dodging gunfire as he went. He reached his Mother first but when he bent to free her she told him to free the men across the room much to his amazement she didn’t seem afraid of him. Maybe that stuff Umpa gave her really worked or maybe she was just too scared and had too many other things going on to deal with what he’d done. “Were it not for our Daughter you would be the worst mistake I ever made!” Ares roared as he tried to get a firm grip on the small woman but the shield around her prevented such a thing. “Come here you bitch!” The Dual Goddess who now called herself Megan laughed and flitted away from him just in time to dodge an incoming arrow flung by Achilles, a man she hadn’t seen in centuries. If he lived perhaps they could catch up on old times. Turning around once more to duck the arrow she saw Daniel Jackson free and Nicholas working on the other the laughter on her lips died. “Get away from him.” She demanded suddenly tossing one of her bolts of energy at the younger version of Ares. It hit Nicholas squarely between the shoulders sending him to his knees before he could unlock the cuffs on David’s wrists. “I’ve had enough of this!” Traveling the Astral within the Dungeon she appeared where Ares’ sword lay on the floor. Picking it up she disappeared once more only to reappear at Callestah’s side holding the blade to her throat. “Stop! All of you! Stay where you are, none of you comes any closer. This is the weapon of a God,” she told all around her, “it will take her life. For the last time, David Jackson, consent or I will kill her right here before your eyes.” Without looking behind she sensed the coming attack. “Nice to see you again, Achilles. Sorry we didn’t get to talk onboard the ship. Be a good boy and come over here where I can see you before I spill her Ichor all over the Dungeon floor. All of you now, quickly, quickly, don’t make me lose my patience. Get over here and drop your weapons.” She watched as Sam, Jack, Achilles and Nicholas came into her line of sight. “My, my, my I see we’ve the makings of a lovely little party here.” Pointing the shimmering blade of Ares’ sword at Nicholas she shooed him over to stand next to his Grandfather and away from David. “You too.” She said to Daniel. “The three of you stand together where I can see you.” Not yet satisfied with her position in the room Megan heaved out a loud exasperated yet superior-sounding sigh. “All right you two, hurry up, come on, come on, and move it along, hurry up now.” She said to Jack and Sam. With a wound in her shoulder Samantha made her way to where the men were standing and Jack was joining them. “Why must you all cause so much fuss over one skinny little woman?” The sword wavering in the direction of all of them as she herded the small crowd in the cell Calla had been occupying. “Everyone just shut up and pay attention.” The Dual Goddess ordered brushing a grimy hand across her forehead leaving a smear behind. “The only one I want to hear from is him,” briefly she glanced back at David in his chains. “The rest of you will kindly be quiet now, shhhhh.” She said raising her finger tips to her lips, smiling she turned away from them and back to David. “Hopefully this won’t take too long. Give me that damn key.” She demanded of Nicholas. “Now, boy.” Megan insisted when he looked like he might not cooperate. The gold key slipped through the bars and into her open hand. She looped it around her neck for safe keeping. “I’ll take care of Zeus later.” For a few hours several nights ago, Ares was finally granted his finest wish; his conquest over Callestah. Today, right now, the Lady Aphrodite—who still very much lived independently inside the cloned body of her Daughter—would have the thrill of her finest moments with this woman. The one who had brought much joy---initially that was. Well, no, not initially but after a little while. For a year or so they had a happy life the three of them playing Family and making a strong go of it. Eros took a fancy to her—he always did, from the moment he laid eyes on her Aphrodite saw he was trouble. This was what got him killed time and again but most especially this last time. Many years now she abided what Eros had done to Callestah mainly because it was Past, it was Over and there was nothing to be done about it any longer. But, well, leopards never do change their spots he’d gone after her again when they on the ship. Eros knew how important it was that Callestah was pregnant and that she stay pregnant until after she joined with her, yet still he gave her the mandrake and felt the spasms of her womb around him while her Grandson died and Eros smiled. Even she couldn’t forgive that. What kind of monster did that? Not the kind she wanted to have to admit to bearing. For that he had to die and so he had in a manner befitting his treachery and his crimes. “Now, my dear darling Daughter,” the Dual Goddess cooed as she slowly lowered herself by Calla’s side. “What shall I do with you? What do you prefer?” End Of Chapter Eleven This story and all stories in the Barters N Garters Library are copyrighted to Lisa Beth Darling these stories
