Chapter Two

Sitting behind the large mahogany desk in his big new office, Daniel Jackson punched the symbols into his computer trying to ascertain the location of the coordinates Calla gave him the night before.

“Good morning,” purred a voice from the doorway, “Daniel.” it whispered quietly while deep doe eyes looked around to be sure no one was watching or listening. Rowan slid into the office, closed the door and drew the blinds. “One day, I want to say that to you while we’re still in bed and not here in this stuffy office.” She hiked up her skirt and perched her well-rounded butt on his desk. “When do you suppose that will be?”

“Soon, I hope.” He returned in a deep voice. “For now, we have to be careful, get off the desk.”

“Humph,” she groused and jumped down. Rowan crossed around to look at the computer screen. “What are you working on?” She asked over his shoulder, pressing one magnificent breast against his upper arm.

“A hard on.”

“I can help you with that.” She cooed and watched as he pushed the chair back, allowing her space between and the desk. Rowan descended to her knees before him. Sliding her hand along the cotton material of his khakis she felt the budding hardness beneath them. Rowan looked up at him, licked her lips and undid the belt buckle. Just as she slid him into her mouth there was a knock at his office door.

Some people have really lousy timing! Daniel scooted the chair and Rowan, forward under the desk. “Come in.” He said, hoping to see one of his assistants standing there with a stupid question that he could quickly answer.

No such luck.

“Morning,” General O’Neill said happily upon entering the office.

Fuck

“Mornin’ Jack.” Daniel returned and felt Rowan’s tongue flick around the top of his hard knob. She was going to continue this while the General sat on the other side of the desk that was fine with him. He wanted to talk to Jack anyway. While Rowan was hidden under the desk, giving him one of her less than famous blow jobs, Daniel calmly explained the events of last night. He told Jack he wanted to go through the Stargate to the coordinates Calla gave him to see if he could find the Crown and Scepter of Ares.

Jack thought the story interesting. “Well, you don’t have much else on your plate, what with you only being temporary on SG-1 and all. When you gonna make that permanent anyway? I told you months ago I’d bend the rules and let you back on.”

“Yeah, I don’t know.” He offered up as her tongue flitted around him and he began to cum.

Jack caught the strange yet familiar look on his friend’s face. “Speaking of Calla,” he crossed his legs, banging one foot harshly and purposefully against the desk in front of him. “How is she? How are the kids?” He uncrossed his legs and banged the lower half the desk again with his foot. “I haven’t seen them in a while.”

Under the desk, Rowan jumped, her lower teeth gnashed into the soft flesh

of his cock. Daniel winced in pain but didn’t move. He could swear Jack’s voice was getting louder and that there was an accusatory undertone to them. No, that was probably just his own guilty conscious. “Fine,” he muttered. “She’s bringing the kids in for a check-up today, and you’ll get to see them then.”

General O’Neill leaned way forward across the desk to look Daniel directly in the eye. He noticed the hot cup of coffee sitting there. “You know, I haven’t seen Rowan today either.” He smiled but not really. “Then again, I don’t get to see much of anybody these days.“ General O’Neill complained as he spread his hands wide knocking the steaming cup into Daniel’s lap. “Oh, no, Daniel! Geez, I’m sorry. Are you all right?” Jack said in a sarcastic tone as he rose. “Here, get up, let me help you with that.”

“I got it!” Daniel shouted as he kept his seat with the hot liquid soaking through his khakis burning his skin and that of his tender dick.

“Yeah, sure you do.” Jack’s eyes narrowed as did his voice. “Find that planet, Daniel, you leave tomorrow morning.” He walked to the door and laid his hand on the knob. Maybe he hadn’t made his point. Jack turned around to look at Daniel over his shoulder. “You should probably let Rowan up before she suffocates.” With that he walked out.

*****************************

Calla spent most of her morning getting the twins bathed and dressed for their doctor’s appointment. She still hated bringing them in to see Dr. O’Gara but in the end it was for the best. Still, she didn’t leave the good doctor alone with her children, not for a single second.

As she helped Colleen into the jumper, she wondered about the events of last night and whether or not to tell Ares that Daniel was looking for his Crown and Scepter. It took her all morning but she decided not to tell her Father what was going on. When and IF Daniel returned with them, she should bring them to Ares herself as surprise. Father would be delighted and very proud of her.

Arriving at the base a half an hour early for their appointment, Calla held on small hand in each of her own as they wandered around looking for Daniel. He wasn’t in his office, not in the lab, not in the commissary. They looked all over but it was to no avail. Glancing down at her watch she saw they had just enough time to make it to the med lab for the appointment, Calla scooped each child into one arm and rode the elevator down.

“Good morning, Calla.” Dr. O’Gara said cheerily as they entered his office. “How are all of us today?” He rose from his desk to tweak Nicholas’ cheek.

“We are all fine.” She told him.

“Glad to hear it. Where is Dr. Jackson?” Daniel never missed these appointments.

“I couldn’t find him. We’ll have to continue without him.”

An hour later, still with no Daniel Jackson in sight, Calla sat in the office with Dr. O’Gara while the twins played in the waiting area. “They really are quite far ahead of the game,” Dr. O’Gara commented. “Both walking and running, no less! They’re not even a year old. My, Colleen has quite the vocabulary.”

“So does Nicholas, he just doesn’t want to talk to you.” She told him.

Dr. O’Gara ignored the comment. “I see they’ve even got almost a full set of teeth already. I can’t believe they’re toilet trained! If I didn’t know better, I’d have to say they were closer to two or three than one year of age.”

“Well, that’s good.” Calla rose. “Are we done here then?”

Dr. O’Gara closed the children’s medical files and looked up at her. “I’ve been going over your file, Calla. How are you feeling?”

“I’m fine.”

“Be honest. I know you don’t like me but I’m still your doctor.” He chided lightly.

“Tired.” She confessed and then quickly recovered. “I’m chasing after them all day.”

“What else?”

“I thirst.” Gathering her purse and the children’s bag, she looked back at him. “Once again, I run after them all day.”

“And the pain?”

“I’m fine.” She reiterated and hoisted the bags to her shoulder. “Honestly, just fine.”

“Calla.” Came Dr. O’Gara’s stern I’m-Your-Doctor tone. “Are you bleeding between cycles?”

“I really have to get the children home now.” She rushed the words out. “Thank you for your concern, doctor.”

“You are taking precautions not to get pregnant again, aren't you, Calla?" Dr. O'Gara asked. "You can't carry another fetus to term. What about spotting after intercourse?" The look on her face told him everything he needed to know; one, the answers to those questions were not what he hoped and two, she wasn't going to discuss it with him right now. "You should make an appointment.” Dr. O’Gara rose to his feet and pushed just a little too far. “In fact, I’m free right now. Why don’t you just let me examine you while you’re here?” He reached a benevolent hand to her elbow and she jumped away.

“Perhaps another time.” Calla walked out the door and began to call for her children before the good doctor could stop her. Obediently the twins came to her call. One on each side of her, hand in hand, they made their way down the hall and away from the doctor’s office.

“We find Daddy now?” Nicholas asked.

Yes, where was their father? Calla felt a dull ache in her temple and harsh pull at her heart. “I don’t know.” Looking for him was not on her list of Things To Do at the moment.

“Hey! Look who it is!”

“Uncle Jack!” The twins cried, letting go of her hands they ran over to him and begged to be picked up. Jack was only too happy to oblige them, scooping them up and giving each a big hug.

“Hi, Calla.” Jack felt a twinge of guilt as he stood there with her in the hall. Did she know what Daniel was up to? She did strike him as the type of woman to make such an agreement with her husband. “How are you?”

“Well,” she lied. “May I talk with you?”

“Sure, come on down to my office.” Jack invited as he put the kids down. “I’ve got quite the snazzy new digs, ya know.” He said proudly. “Got TV, DVD, Satellite Radio, even got coffee and it’s good too. I’ll get you a cup when we get there.” Absently he slung one arm around her shoulder as they walked down the hall with Nicholas holding onto her hand and Colleen holding on to Uncle Jack’s.

In Jack’s office Calla unpacked the bag, she settled kids down on a blanket she took from it and laid out the toys for them to play with. “You be good, momma has to talk to Uncle Jack for a few minutes, ok?”

“K.” Nicholas agreed. “Cookie?”

Calla rolled her eyes and dug in the bag, she handed a cookie to each child. “Don’t steal it, Nicholas.”

“K.”

Sitting in the chair across from him, Jack pushed a fresh cup of coffee in her direction. They spent the next few minutes making polite conversation regarding the children and Daniel‘s upcoming new adventure. Calla assured Jack that she was all in favor of it. Finally Jack looked her square in the eye and asked; “What’s on your mind, Calla?”

“Why won’t you let Daniel come back permanently?” There was no point in beating around the bush. Her marriage was falling apart.

Her question took Jack aback. Daniel hadn’t been honest with his wife after all. “I’d love to, but he won’t come back full time.”

Taking a sip from the dark heady brew, she looked at him from over the rim of the cup. “He’s fucking her you know.”

Jack felt as though he’d been struck between the eyes by an arrow from a crossbow. “Calla,” he mumbled and held his hands out.

“Don’t make excuses for him. He makes them for himself and I make them for him as well. Daniel doesn’t need any more excuses.” Calla took another drink from the cup. “You will take him back on SG-1 permanently and you have let him know this?”

“Yeah,” Jack agreed quietly. “He won’t come.” Christ, how he had found himself smack in the middle of Daniel’s marital problems? Jack had his suspicions about what was going on with Rowan for a while but he’d never been sure about it until this morning in Daniel’s office. The smell of her perfume was heavy in the air and there was an extra coffee cup on the desk, full and steaming, with no one to claim it.

“Make him do it.”

“Excuse me?”

“It’s your base. You’re in control here. Make him do it.” She hissed. “Daniel is under contract with the Air Force. Tell him you will have to let him go if he doesn’t comply with your order.”

Well, she was right about one thing; it was his base now. He could strong arm Daniel away from Rowan just as Calla was asking him to do. “You should talk to Daniel, Calla.” Jack advised. “Meanwhile, I’ll look at his contract.”

“This has to stop, Jack.” She confided. “I can’t do this any longer.”

Once again, Jack referred her to her husband. “I’ll watch the kids if you want to go down to his office.” Afraid of what she would find in Daniel’s office, the coffee in her cup turned to Nectar. Jack watched as she downed in one swallow a cup of what he thought was hot steaming java. “You all right?” Jack asked as he looked at the empty cup in her hand.

“I’m fine.” She said with the fake but believable smile she presented so often. “I think you’re right,” Calla whispered. “I’ll be back soon.” She rose from the chair, crossed the room to kiss her children and tell them to be good for Uncle Jack, she would return soon.

Calla wasn’t the only one who was afraid of what she might find in Daniel’s office. Jack picked up the phone and dialed the extension for Daniel’s inner office.

It was lunch time now. The halls were empty. Calla opened the outer door to Daniel’s office, the lights were on, computer screens glowed, papers were piled around. No one was in sight. Slowly she crept through the outer office where Daniel’s assistants worked and came upon the door to the inner office. The blinds were drawn and the door was shut tight. Leaning her ear to the glass she heard the faint murmurs of voices inside and a ringing telephone. Making a circular motion against the glass and closing her eyes tight she wished to be able to see through the blinds. An opening as large as the hole she’d made in the air with her hand appeared between the blinds, sort of like a two-way mirror. When she opened her eyes, she knew she would be able to see in but those inside would not be able to see out through the hole. To them the blinds would be in tact.

With her heart in her throat and tears misting behind her closed lids, Calla gathered her strength and opened her eyes.

Through the two-way hole she saw Daniel. His back was to her. His pants were around his ankles. Rowan was splayed out on the desk in front of him, and her own ankles hung over his shoulders. The muscles in his back were stretched and taunt as he thrust into her for all he was worth. Below him Rowan moaned and begged him to fuck her harder.

“Sum day, babe, jus gone be yew an me.” Daniel told her. “No kids no wife.” He bent deep at the knees and thrust upward. “Just yew an me.”

“Promise?” She cooed from below him as she tossed his hips at him.

“Callie, such a cold fish. Nevha gimmie any,” he complained breathlessly, “she a dead fuck when she does. Not like yew.” Daniel’s voice turned very complementary as he stroked the space between her ample breasts.

The two-way glass disappeared as Calla collapsed silently against it. Her knees unable to bare her slim weight she sank to the ground in tears. Well, there was no point in talking to Daniel now, was there? No, none at all. Reaching down to the very depths of her soul for one last piece of it to sell to Hades, just one last piece to get her through this. Calla handed it over and rose to her feet. She disappeared from the outer office and reappeared in Jack’s office.

“Whoa!” Jack exclaimed. “Geez, Calla, you scared me.”

“I’m sorry.” She muttered as she held back the sorrow running through it and rushed to gather her children. “Come on, it’s time to go home.” She whispered and kissed each one.

“Calla? What happened? What did he say?”

“Daniel is . . . deeply engaged.” She explained quickly and stuffed the items back into the bag rapidly. “I really didn’t get to talk to him.” Taking one child up in each arm. “Get him back on SG-1.” She leaned in close to him unable to stop herself. “Or I’ll kill him.” She whispered darkly. Calla and the children disappeared into thin air. Jack rushed out of his office and down to Daniel’s. He burst through the inner office door to find Daniel still thrusting in and out of his assistant.

“Get fucking dressed.” General O’Neill demanded.

“Jack! Jesus fucking Christ!” Daniel exclaimed.

“Get dressed.” He looked past Daniel. “You, pack your shit, you’re off my base.” Jack waited and watched while Rowan slithered out from under Daniel and hurriedly got into her clothes.

“You can’t fire me over this.” Rowan hissed while she slid past the General, flashing him a good look at those hefty tits of hers.

“Watch me.” Jack threatened as she walked out the door. “You! Your wife was here. You missed your children’s doctor’s appointment.” Jack was striding quickly toward Daniel. “She SAW you! With that BITCH! You’re back on SG-1 permanently. I‘m not gonna stand here and let you use my base to fuck over your wife.”

“You can’t do that. I got a contract . . . ” Daniel was rushing to hoist his own pants up and get them zipped.

“Screw your contract. You don’t like it, leave.”

“Ma-bbe I will.” Was all Daniel said before pushing past the General and exiting his own office.

A furious General Jack O’Neill stormed into Lieutenant Colonel Major Samantha Carter’s office. “You’re not gonna believe what Daniel did!”

Sam already knew, Ares had been telling her that Daniel was fucking around on Calla but Sam didn’t want to believe it. This Jack was presenting her with proof positive of Daniel’s infidelity. “So what do you want to do?”

“You mean other than string him up from the nearest tree?”

“Yeah, other than that.”

“Depending on what happens at the Jackson home tonight, he’s supposed to go on a mission tomorrow morning. You and Teal’c go with him.”

“You want me to babysit Daniel?”

“Just until he wakes the hell up.” Jack walked out of her office and back to his own where he had a good long look at Daniel’s contract with the United States Air Force. It stated he was a member of SG-1 until the year 2006 and that was enough for General O’Neill, he’d make his ultimatum stick whether Daniel liked it or not.
