Daughter of the Gods: Blood Ties
Chapter Four
It was a long cold night in the Jackson household. Calla was very good at Make Believe and looking and talking to her while the children ran around the house one would think nothing out of the ordinary had happened that day. Certainly she had not caught her husband in the throes of passion with another woman and certainly, he had not caught her in almost the same with her own Father. She uttered not a word to him other than what was necessary to keep up appearances for the children’s sake as she fixed and then cleaned up dinner. The twins fell asleep on the living room floor watching The Little Mermaid and together they scooped up the little ones and tucked them in to bed. Outside the twins’ bedroom door in the dark hallway, Daniel hissed at her; “You’re not taking them with you.” “You’re right,” she returned in the same low voice. “Pity for you and Rowan, I know, but no, I’m not taking them with me. Sorry for the inconvenience.” This time when she tried to brush past him, Daniel caught her arm. “You’re going to abandon them? Huh? Like your mother did to you? I guess the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree after all.” When the loud cracking sound rang in his head, Daniel Jackson realized that this time he was the one who had been slapped. “Shut up.” Calla tried to wrench her way out of his grasp but he wouldn’t let go. She found herself being ushered down the hall and toward their bedroom. “Let’s have this out.” Daniel demanded as he shut the door. “I thought we did that already.” She returned. “I have no wish to do it again. This marriage is over, Daniel. It was a mistake from the beginning.” Along with the sharp sting on his jaw a dull ache began to pound in the back of his head. “I haven’t done anything you didn’t want me to.” “I wanted you to give up your whore. I see you haven’t done that, and SG1? You’ve been lying to me, Jack was willing to have you back months ago.” Calla accused. “I have not come this far in my life just to have you, my husband, the man who is supposed to love me, care for me, protect me and our children, kick me back down to Cha’Dech. I won’t do it.” Calla’s back stiffened as she walked toward him. “I will not help you with your debauchery any longer. Do you hear me, Daniel? I will not do this any longer.” “What choice ah ya got, hon?” He asked with a sly grin. “Yew mah wife, yew can’t go less’n I let cha and I ain’t gone do dat.” “Oh God!” Calla whispered as she stared at him. “Go away.” “I s’pose you’da caught on sooner or later. But, ah, since you done got me in dis pickle with yow Daddy, I thought I'd pop up ta say 'hello'.” The man across the room took strides toward her and watched as she tried to back away. “Danny, he’s innocent Callie.” The man hissed. “He ain’t got a fuckin’ clue what’s been goin’ on ‘round h’re.” “Get away from me.” “Ya ain’t gone ta hurt me, is ya now Callie?” He said slyly and waved a hand in front of himself. “Dis h’re is Danny’s body, you ain’t gone lay a scratch on it. “ He tossed his blue eyes upward with a smile, “Well, not the bad kind anyway. I already knows dat much. You can‘t, now can ya, hon?” While the one hand danced up and down in front of him the other snatched out and grabbed her. “Yew see, the way I fig'a it, you'da done took ol' Kanan's head clean off'n his shoulders if you coulda. But you didn't and dat means you cant. Nah, I was real tempted to jus stand by and watch yow daddy put dat long schlong ah his ta ya. Yesssma’am I was. Den ‘gain I fig'a dis h’re is mine now, why should daddy have da fun?” His hand was crushing the bone in her upper arm. “Daniel was here,” she whispered. “He told Father he would get the Crown and Scepter. You wouldn’t know of such things.” “Aw, hon.” he said in a dismissively evil tone. “I-tell-you-wot, I dun knows much as Danny 'bout dem old bones crap but I knows 'enuff ta get me by, done growd up wit it, don’cha know?” “But not enough to go back to SG1.” She told him. “Sam and Teal’c would figure this out, wouldn’t they? If they had to spend enough time with you.” “Yep, but Rowan, she dun know Danny from Adam, so what she care?” David reached down and grabbed her free hand, he pushed her body up against the wall. “Yew, my darlin’, purdy, li’l wife, yew shoulda knowd sum’in was goin on.” David pushed his pelvis against her. “Dun yew trus him, lil’ darlin’? Dun yew know, Danny nevah do dese tings ta yew no mattah how much he wants to.” “It was you in the cabin.” She whispered in shocked horror as he came in to kiss her. “Aw, naw, I'm flat'tad, hon. ” His lips were centimeters from hers. "But, ah, dat was all Danny." He commented. "Made me blush and lemmet tell ya, dat takes some doin’." David whispered. "Oooh, dem tangs he did ta yew. I didn't know Danny had it in 'im. Yew let him. Shouldn't oughtta dun dat, Callie. Yew ought notta tempted ‘im and me sah much. Yew woke me up." "And Rowan?" The thought of crying out to her Father for help came to her but she dismissed it. This was Daniel, even if he wasn’t acting like it right now. Ares would smite him down. She must be careful. She must not fear him. It was her sorrow which called to Ares before and her fear would call to him now. When he appeared there would be little she could do to stop him. “Please go away.” “Yew ask so nice.” He commented easily while he held her against the wall and ripped open the t-shirt she had tossed on earlier. “But I’ma have ta decline. Ya know, Danny really hated bein' tied ta dat bed. Me? I dun mind so much, a li'l slap'n'tickles ok wit me as yew done noticed. But Danny, naw you done gone and made ’im feel weak, like he was less of a man. Rowan was all Danny's idea, at least in the beginnin' she was, another shocker ta me I might say.” Harsh lips clamped down hers. Calla pushed at him in a vein attempt to get her off her. His lips parted from hers for just an instant. “Daniel?” Calla asked in a voice which was shaking as much as her body. “Daniel? Please, don’t let him do this.” “Dat’s cute, Callie.” David whispered back and grabbed a small breast between his fingers giving it a good squeeze. “But he can’t hear you, hon.” “Yes, he can.” Calla insisted. “Daniel!” The lips which had been pressed against hers now closed around one nipple and bit down hard. "Dat gurl I brung home...Lily, dat was her name, wasn't it?" Eyes of the clearest blue, filled with evil intent, looked down at her. "Yew shouldda seen yow face, Callie. It was . . . priceless." His hot moist tongue slipped across the outside her lips. "I dun thought yew was gonna scream or pass out or sum'thin." She was looking up at him with the wide eyes of a deer caught in the headlights. "In da end, yew was jus grateful she wasn't yew, huh Callie?" One hand now held both of hers together over her head and he reached between her legs with the other, her back flat against the wall. "She’s dead, Callie. Aftah I took her outta h’re, I took her to a dark road, I fucked that little bitch again. Da las’ time I did ‘er, as I was cummin’ in that cute little ass, I slit her fuckin’ throat.“ Calla cringed and tried to pull away but he wouldn’t let her. “Why?” “Why??? Cuz sooner ta latah she was gone wake up from dat hang o’vr and bring the cops h’re, dats why.” David huffed. “Dun need no stinkin’ cops. But, ah, mo’ to da point. Ya see, nah, lis'en ta me good h're, gurl," he licked his lips. "Dis connection thang you got with Danny, it's a side benefit fo' me. " David leaned in close dropped his voice to imitate his brother. " I can see your thoughts, Calla. Your dreams." David pressed his chest against her bare one and felt her heart rapidly beating below him. "Your fears." The hand between her legs gave a harsh upward thrust. "I know everything about you, even the things you don't want me to know." If he could use that connection, maybe she could also. Through the fear which was fighting bravely to be free and run wild, Calla tried to find the mind that belonged to her husband. Daniel? "Didn't I tell you, Daniel can't hear you?" David yanked her away from the wall. "Get downstairs, girl, I see we need to have a long talk." Came his thinly veiled threat. "Daniel!" He shoved her toward the door, grabbing her arm behind her back he yanked her back to him. "Be quiet, you'll wake your children and we wouldn't want that, now would we, . . . Lady?" David herded her down the stairs to the first floor and then to the basement. Shoving her through the doorway of the small room where she held him and Danny prisoner for a week, he turned on the light with one hand and locked the door with the other. "Now," he said quietly as he began to pace around. Calla stood quietly watching him from across the room with the bed between them. "Here's the deal," he took a small breath, "I'm not giving up this body and I'm not giving you up." "That's a deal?" She mocked. "Yep, that's my offer." David agreed through a coy grin. "And you're going with me tomorrow. My skills aren't as good as Danny's, I'll probably need your help to get me out of this little fix you got me into with dear old Dad." "I'm not going to help you, David." "Yes, you will." He commanded. "I'm still your husband, in the end you'll do whatever I tell you to." David stripped the shirt off over his head. "We'll get this shit for dear old Dad." He tossed the shirt to the floor and took off his shoes. "Then you're going to tell him that he isn't welcome in our house anymore, and you’re going to banish him for your life." "No! I won't!" With no thought or hesitation, David flew across the bed to grab her by the throat. "Yes, you will." He said growled slowly as his hand closed around her wind pipe. "Then you're going to tell General Jack that you've done changed yaw mind, you don't want me back on SG-1 no more. And, ah, that you forgive me for my little . . . indiscretion." "Daniel is still in you." She gasped. "He will always be in you. You will never be him." "Shut up, bitch." David slapped her hard across the face. As she fell backward, he reached out and grabbed her, tossing her onto the bed. Unlike Ares, David settled his full weight atop her. Calla bucked and clawed below him as he put her wrists into the leather restraints attached to the bed and clamped them down. "As far as the world is concerned I am Daniel Jackson and that's the way it's going to stay." "No matter what you do, you will never be Daniel." Calla held onto the idea that it had been Daniel who had her read from Nick's old book, why would David be interested in such a thing? Like a dog with a bone, she held to the idea that it was Daniel and not David who kicked in the bedroom door earlier today and stopped what was happening between her and Ares. He was still in there, somewhere. “You’re insane!” Looming over her, David put his back into his swing and landed a hard right cross on her jaw. "I said, shut up. I ain’t crazy, doctor said so.” But his voice began to waiver in and out between his own and Daniel’s. “ I ain’t yo ordinary opportunity rapist, Callie, nor am I your average serial rapist. Nah, I," he pointed proudly to himself, “am a special breed, girl and you best be rememberin’ it. I am what the shrinks and the law calls a Sexual Predator. You like that? Say it with me, nah. Sexual... Predator. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Dat means, I pick, hunt, stalk and like to get to know my victims, rather than just any old hussy off’n the street. Do you understand me, gurl?” Her jaw tingling and ozzing ichor, Calla pulled herself up as far as she could beneath him hauled back and spit in his face. "Pah--toot". “I see you don’t understand.” Dragging his sleeve across his face to remove the spit he looked down at her through narrow blue eyes; "Oh, gurl, the thangs I'ma gonna do to yew." "Give it your best shot." She dared. "Careful what you wish for, gurl. Yew jus might get it." David ripped the cotton slacks from her and the pretty pink panties with them. Wanting another taste of those lips, he bent in close to her again. The chains at her wrists were not lengthened for her, as his head came in close to hers Calla mumbled. "I love you, Daniel." She pulled her wrists together and watched a bright bolt of energy cross from them into either side of his head. David jerked above her, his eyes rolling back in their sockets and drool beginning to drip from his bottom lip. I love you, Daniel. I love you, Daniel. I love you, Daniel. The man above her passed out from the electric current running through him. Twitching, he collapsed on top of her.
