Chapter Seven

“Jennifer, look at me.” he said. 

      When he said that, she snapped out of the trance that she was in. She had no idea how long they were there trying to get her to come out of the horrible place she was in. No one realized all the places that her mind was going, all the things that she was seeing. She wondered how Teal’c could do some of the stuff that the bastard Snake heads tell them their Jaffa to do. 

“I’m sorry Daniel. This little girl was named Tayla. She was only 2. I helped raise her when I was there. She was like one of my own. Why did this have to happen to her. If I would have just stayed there. None of this would have happened. It was all my fault.” She cried. 

“JenniferThompson, Even if you would have been there Apophis, would have still done this. This is not your fault. I have seen many things, and done many things that I was not proud of. I would slaughter young women and children, because a false god instructed me to. No matter how much good I do now, it will never make up for all the wrong that I did.” Teal’c stated 

Jennifer sat silent for a while and thought about what Teal’c said. 

“T, I want you to know, I don’t think of you as a monster. I understand that the Jaffa were just taking orders. What I don’t get is why the damn snake heads think they have to control everything. All the innocent people that get slaughtered cause they don’t believe the way they do.” 

      Jennifer just sobbed into Daniel’s arms. He just held her as close as possible. He let her cry. Teal’c watched this show of love and was pleased that they were so much in love.  Teal’c started to get up and Jennifer pulled away from Daniel and looked up at him.  

“Teal’c please don’t go. I need you here as well. You are just as much family as Daniel is.” She got up and hugged him also.

 
He was so happy that she thought of him as family. She cried a little longer until she couldn’t cry any longer. She perked up and looked at the clock. It was 11pm and she wanted to watch a movie. She asked them if they wanted too. She knew Daniel still had a lot of work to do and would understand if he didn’t want to watch. 

Daniel did excuse himself, he went back to the Den to finish what he was working on. Daniel also figured that she might like to spend some time alone with Teal’c and he didn’t mind about that. After all he was her best friend. Daniel got up and kissed her, she then got up off the floor and went to look for a movie. She knew exactly what she wanted.  

She walked back with her favorite movie in hand. She knew Teal’c had seen it about a hundred times also. She walked in and popped the movie in. Teal’c sat on the couch with her. She laid her head on his lap. He hoped Daniel didn’t mind that he was laying here like this with his soon to be wife. If he knew Daniel he would be fine with it. Both Teal’c and Jennifer both fell asleep During the Wizard of Oz.   

Daniel walked in at a little after two am to the TV, with nothing but snow. He walked in to see Jennifer asleep curled on the couch with Teal’c. He had his arm wrapped around her and she was snuggled in close. Daniel thought it was cute. He was happy that she had really bonded with one of his team mates. Daniel picked her up and woke Teal’c up. Teal’c looked up at him with questions in his eyes. All Daniel did was smile at him and asked him to get the bedroom door for him. So he could put her to bed.  

Teal’c obliged and opened the bedroom door for him. He was so happy that he was here with them. Able to help her through anything that she might need to face with the Goua’ld. He was ready to assist her no matter what. Even if it was help with the laundry, he would do his best to help one of his best friends out.  

Daniel thanked Teal’c and walked into their room. Teal’c walked into his to do his meditation that he needed to do. Daniel put Jennifer to bed, and looked at how peacefully she was sleeping. He was so happy that she was at peace right now. He was hoping the rest of the night was going to be ok. 

Daniel had just fallen asleep when he heard her scream. She was thrashing back and forth, crying out like she was in pain. Daniel kept trying to wake her up but all she kept screaming was no please don’t do this. Teal’c had heard her screams and knocked on the door.  

“Come in” Daniel hollered. 

Teal’c walked into the bedroom, seeing Jennifer still deep in sleep. She cried out again, this time some marks appeared across her skin. This was a bad sign and they knew that. They had to get her out of whatever state she was in. Teal’c sat on the bed and shook her for a while. Finally she opened her eyes, looked at him and said “Sholv’a.” and then shut her eyes again. 

Teal’c knew she wasn’t in a right state of mind and that he was ok with what she had said. If it would have been anyone else he would have been royally pissed off. Then he finally got her to wake up again and she kept hitting his chest. She was afraid of him for a moment until she realized who it was.  

“Sorry T, I didn’t know it was you. I was having a bad dream.” She felt really badly about hitting him. 

Daniel just looked at the scene in front of him. Happy that she was ok. He came over to her and hugged her hard. She looked at him and smiled. She loved him so much. She yawned. She was so tired. 

“I’m tired. I think I am going to go back to sleep. Daniel, I love you. T, thanks for helping me out of this.” Teal’c got up and walked out back into his room that he was having for two weeks.  

Jennifer slept the rest of the night. She awoke around noon and found Daniel was already out of bed. She was so worn out. She couldn’t believe she slept that long. Teal’c was in the living room watching TV when she came out of the room.  

Daniel was in the Den working on something. Teal’c told her that Daniel made breakfast and that it was in the microwave for her if she wanted any. She still didn’t feel like eating much. She knew however if she didn’t eat, that Daniel would go bonkers.  

After she ate a little bit she went back into her room to gather the laundry. She asked Teal’c if he had anything that needed washed and he said no, that he did it last night when they were sleeping. She popped her head into the den and was looking at Daniel on the phone. She didn’t want to bother him. She picked up the laundry basket and went into the laundry room. 

She put the stuff in the wash and was just going to sit down when the door bell rang. She went and answered it and there was Jack. He had come to check on her and see if Teal’c wanted to go fishing. She told him that she was fine, and Teal’c said no that Jennifer needed help around the house since Daniel was busy in the Den. Jack didn’t like that answer, but understood. He was there about an hour and then left. After Jack left she put the stuff in the dryer and then curled up on the couch.
