What Comes Of Dreams Chapter 14 Jacob
Carter and Dr. Warner came running into the area of the VIP rooms at almost the
same time, from different directions.
Being just a little faster because of the extra provided by being a
host, Jacob came barreling into the open doorway of the quarters for Per’sus and slammed right into the back of Teal’c. “Sorry
Teal’c, I did not mean to run into you.” Jacob said catching his breath. “No
harm done, JacobCarter.”
Teal’c replied. “I heard you coming but
I did not want to move from my current position.” Peering
around Teal’c, Jacob saw that Per’sus was knocked out
cold on the floor and there was something broken beside him. Stepping around Teal’c and kneeling down by
the prone figure of Per’sus, Jacob checked for a
pulse and was relieved to find a steady one. “What
happened to Supreme Councilor Per’sus?” Selmak asked
looking up at the unmoving Jaffa. “I
came to the room to see if he needed anything and overheard him giving a report
to a Lord Zor.”
Teal’c stated in a near growl. “I
overhear him say that DanielJackson no longer had the knowledge of the
Ancients, and that Jolinar was still alive.
I kicked the door open and struck him across the base of the neck before
he was able to say who was hosting Jolinar.” Looking
in shock and disbelief from Teal’c and back to Per’sus,
it was Jacob that started to speak when Dr. Warner stepped in. Dr. Warner quickly checked vital signs the
same way that Jacob had done and then motioned for Teal’c to step aside so that
the gurney could be brought in. No
sooner had the medics placed Per’sus’ body on the
gurney and strapped him down, than Samantha and O’Neill came rushing into the
room looking panicked. “T
ole’ buddy, what happened to the Tok’ra dude?” Jack asked with a smirk. “He
was a spy and was relaying information to his master.” Teal’c growled. “I knocked him out just before he was able to
relay that Jolinar was alive inside of MajorCarter, but not before he told Zor that DanielJackson no longer had the knowledge of the
Ancients.” “Oh no!” Sam cried out.
“They will kill him now.” She said sliding down the wall next to her. Dropping
down to her side and bringing her close to his body, Teal’c stroked Sam’s hair
the way he had observed Daniel do to calm her. “I
do not believe that will happen yet, MajorCarter.” Teal’c said with a softened
voice. “He still has much knowledge about
the Tau’ri which Zor will
most likely try to extract. He will not
break easily and that will give us time to find him.” “Yeah, T.” Jack said
in a subdued voice. “Daniel is stubborn
and will not give up any information, but what will they do to him in trying to
get that information?” Teal’c’s
only response was a nearly deadly glare at Colonel O’Neill. Sam was crying into Teal’c;s shoulder harder than before Jack’s comment and was
starting to reach a near hysteric level.
Seeing his daughter in such a condition, Jacob Carter slid over to her
side and wrapped his arms around her just as Teal’c had done. “Real
smooth Jack!” Jacob bellowed at Jack. Turning
his head to whisper in his daughter’s hair so nobody could here but her, he did
not take into account that Teal’c would hear.
“Jolinar, please put Sammie asleep for a
while. I know it does not help her, but
she is too gone to do anything but harm to you both.” He pleaded. Within
seconds Sam’s crying stopped and she gently pushed Teal’c and Jacob away from
her. Still wearing a very upset look,
Jolinar looked up to the men around her. “I
have placed Samantha into a deep sleep for now.” Jolinar began in a shaky voice. “This has greatly upset her and has also
affected me more than I can say, but I can deal with it more. She has loved DanielJackson for far longer
than any of you realize and the memory of Kelwona
lays heavily in her mind. Recent events
have only amplified this pain.” Noticing that the medics, and Dr. Warner, had already left with the
unconscious body of Per’sus. Jolinar scrambled to her feet and headed out
of the door for the infirmary. Running
to catch up with her, Jacob grabbed Jolinar by the arm and spun her to look at
him. “Where
are you taking off to in such a god awful hurry?” Jacob demanded. “I
am going to get some answers out of the shol’va Per’sus as to where Daniel was taken and what happened on
the base.” Jolinar roared. “You would be wise to not get in my way.” She
finished as she ripped her arm from Jacob’s grip and shoved him against the
wall before taking off in the direction she had originally been headed. Jacob
was barely pulling himself from the wall as Teal’c and then O’Neill sped past
him hot on Jolinar’s heels. The look that had been in his daughter’s/Jolinar’s eyes would be one he would never forget…complete
and total fury. Getting his feet moving
to catch up, Jacob was worried at what his daughter and her symbiote would do
to get the answers they wanted. End Chapter Fourteen of This story along with all original characters and situations were created
