What Comes Of Dreams Chapter 15 As
Jack and Teal’c entered the infirmary door, they swore it looked like a tornado
had hit the place. The knocked out
bodies of several SF, nurses, and orderlies were here and there. The normally ordered condition of medical
supplies and equipment was completely in chaos, it even looked like a lot of it
was broken beyond repair. Cautiously
walking through the main area towards Dr. Warner’s office, Jack and Teal’c
stopped short when they saw Sam holding Per’sus up
against the wall with about two feet of air between the ground and his feet. “You
will tell me who you are working for or I will rip your slimy Goa’uld ass out
of your host!” Jolinar hissed. “You
will do no such thing, I am a god and you are nothing.” The Goa’uld said trying
to free himself from her grip. Roaring
with rage, Jolinar delivered a lightning flash punch to one of the Goa’uld’s ribs, the cracking sound echoing in the
room. Another quick punch to the stomach
left the Goa’uld in both pain and gasping for air. “I
will continue with this until I hear what I want!” Jolinar hissed to her captive. Jack
and Teal’c stood exactly where they had come to a stop so as not to get caught
in this extremely deadly situation. They
could not take Jolinar down without harming their friend, the situation was
beyond unsettling. Jacob came running
into the room and was about to shoot past Jack and Teal’c when they both
grabbed him by the arms to stop him. Turning
to look at the stunned expression on Jacob’s face they both shook their heads
in a silent statement to not go further. “Jolinar,”
Selmak began, “this is not the way to find out the information about the other
Tok’ra or about Daniel.” “This
shol’va will tell me what we want to know, or there
will be nothing left of him to question.” was Samantha’s reply to her dad’s
symbiote. “Major
Carter, I order you to let the prisoner down and discontinue your torture for
information.” Jacob Carter ordered in his more commanding voice. “Not
going to happen, Dad.” Sam replied with a growl. “I can not let this one slide.” Before
anyone could even blink, Samantha threw the Goa’uld on the ground face-first
and dropped a knee into the small of his back.
The Goa’uld screamed out in pain as the spine underneath the Tau’ri’s knee gave under the impact. “The
Tok’ra of that base died screaming and gasping for breath as the toxin I
released ended their shol’va lives.” The Goa’uld gloated trying to buy time for
his spine to be healed. “I personally
disintegrated their bodies for my lord and then acted out our little ruse to
get you simple-minded Tau’ri to come to the rescue.” Knowing
that the Goa’uld was trying to heal himself, Jolinar jumped up off the ground
to come down with her knee right back in the same spot, once again severing the
spine that had just begun to heal.
Following through with this, Jolinar grabbed the right arm of the
Goa’uld and jerked it back in such a way that it dislocated it from the socket.
Jack,
Teal’c, and Jacob stayed still in shock at what they were hearing and
seeing. None of them could ever have
thought that Major Doctor Samantha Carter would be capable of this kind of
act. Selmak was dismayed and alarmed at
seeing a fellow Tok’ra behaving like a Goa’uld. ~ “That is not the appropriate way to think of a fellow Tok’ra; as
acting like a Goa’uld.” Jacob
rebuked Selmak. ~ ~
“That is what she is behaving like. Torturing the host’s body to get information from the symbiote.”
Selmak replied with disdain. ~ ~
“She is enraged at the loss of Daniel and so many of her friends, Sel. I would probably be the same way.” Jacob chided. ~ “Who
are you and where is Daniel?” Samantha demanded as she started reaching for the
Goa’uld’s other arm. “My
name will not help you and I will not tell you where Daniel Jackson is.” The
Goa’uld taunted. “What
have you done with Per’sus?’ Selmak roared starting to approach the
incapacitated Goa’uld. Laughing
in that maniacal laugh all Goa’uld seemed to be taught to do the Goa’uld
replied with a smile. “I killed him and
used a device created by Anubis to destroy the host’s mind, then took the body
for my self. It really is refreshing to
not have to deal with an inferior beings presence. All I had to do was speak in the host’s voice
and those stupid Tok’ra fell for it and let me waltz around the base without
any problems, much to their downfall.
Even as we speak, the one you call Daniel is probably being implanted by
my lord.” These
final words triggered the deepest part of both Sam and Jolinar’s
fear and turned into a blind fury.
Selmak, Jacob, Jack, and Teal’c watched in morbid fascination as Sam’s
fingernails seemed to grow several inches in a fraction of a second and she
pulled her hand back in the form of a claw and plunged it forward into the neck
of Goa’uld. Blood spurted everywhere for
several feet as the Goa’uld symbiote and the host’s upper spine were ripped
from the body it once resided in as Sam screamed out, “NOOOOO!” All
anger fleeing her body and the shock of the sight of what she had done came
flooding into the shared mind of Jolinar and Samantha. With a strangled cry of disgust, they both
collapsed, falling to the side of the ravaged body. Jacob
was at his daughter’s side instantly, cradling her in his lap and checking for
a pulse. Finding that she was just
knocked out probably from the shock of everything that had just happened, Jacob
just sat there rocking her back and forth. Coming
out of their stunned inactivity, Jack and Teal’c set about making sure that
those personnel that were down were okay and had no serious injuries. Jack had just finished checking the pulse of
the last victim when a squad of SF came barreling into the room armed with zats. The all came
to a sliding halt when they caught sight of the dead body with it’s spine sticking out of it’s neck and back. Several of them spun instantly to the side
and started heaving up their lunches. With
the help of several of the SF that arrived a short
while ago and were not busy puking, Jack and Teal’c worked at reviving the
unconscious infirmary staff. The only
thing that they could tell them was that the patient had started acting like he
was vomiting and then came up with some kind of weapon that knocked them out. A
quick search of the room while straightening the overturned beds revealed a
small weapon like the one the Ashrak had used years
before. By the time that everything was
straightened out and cleaned up, several orderlies had taken the dead body down
to the morgue. General Hammond had been informed
of what had transpired and he had in turn ordered that Jolinar/Marjor
Carter be restrained in one of the isolation rooms until her state of mind and
everyone’s safety could be guaranteed.
Jacob and Selmak both had had a few terse words on the subject, but
acquiesced to the command decision. End Chapter Fifteen of This story along with all original characters and situations were created
