Chapter 25

             Before anyone in the room had a chance to come out of their shock over the news of Jolinar nowing being a queen, Jolinar herself broke the silence.

            “Holy Hanna!”  Jolinar shouted out.  “All of Egeria’s memories….I have all of Egeria’s memories.”

            Looking fiercely at the only other Tok’ra in the room, Jolinar continued.  “She had several more clutches…we have more brothers and possible sisters out there!”

            “Holy fucking shit!”  Jacob yelled out.  “You are a queen!”

            Everyone in the room laughed at the way that Jacob responded, and the fact that it took so long.  Thor was his usually puzzled self looking at the Tau’ri and Tok’ra in the room.  Teal’c was shocked that his friend was also now a Queen of the Tok’ra, while Jack was not happy with the idea of there being more “new snakes” and that his friend would be the one to be helping to create them.  General Hammond sat shaking his head thinking that it could only be the members of SG1 that this happened to.

            Taking control of their shared body, Selmak spoke in disbelief.  “You have all of Egeria’s memories and there are more clutches out there?  Where?”

            “Well, I have not gotten through all of the memories yet,”  Jolinar started, “but the ones I have been able to get to definitely indicate at least half-a-dozen clutches on various worlds.”

            “But even if we can not find those worlds right away, you are able to have clutches?”  Selmak said stunned.

            “Yes, Selmak.”  Jolinar replied happily.  “Though, I will have to go dormant when my Samantha and my Daniel decide to have offspring of their own.”

            Before anyone could say another word, a bright flash of green light filled the room and slowly formed into the shape of a human looking woman.  The woman’s lilac eyes slowly scanned over everyone present before settling on Samantha/Jolinar and Jacob/Selmak.

            “My children, long have I thought of you all.”  The female addressed those locked in her gaze.

            Dropping to his knees in a bow, Selmak was the first to recover from the shock of the woman’s arrival.  “Queen Egeria.”  He said in awe.

            Chortling to herself, Egeria knelt down to look into Selmak’s eyes.  “I may be a queen as far as that goes, Selmak, but I am not one to be bowed to.”

            “Egeria…” Jolinar whispered in disbelief.  “But, how?”

            “A friend told me that the Others had changed one of my children to carry on my line, and that they gave my memories to this one.”  Egeria’s said as her eyes refocused on Jolinar.  “I see that the one they spoke of is you.”

            “Yes, mother.”  Jolinar said still taken in awe.

            “I do not have long to stay, but I was allowed to come and say that I am proud of all of my children for sticking with my teachings.”  Egeria said looking from Jolinar to Selmak and back. 

“I am also very fond of this one named, Daniel Jackson….he will make a good mate for you my daughter.”  Egeria said with a smile that lit up her eyes as she patted Jolinar’s hand watching the new Tok’ra queen blush.

With that having been said, Egeria turned back into a ball of green light and spiraled up into the heavens.  A feeling of piece and profound happiness left behind in the hearts and minds of the Tok’ra that had seen her.

            “Sweet, Danny-boy has your mom’s approval eh, Jolinar?”  Jack said grinning while he watched Jolinar turn a shade darker in her blush.

            “I can’t believe that Queen Egeria was here.”  Selmak was stuttering.  “I mean, our mother that we never thought to see again.”

            “Well, we now know what became of her and that she is happy.”  Sam said taking control back from Jolinar.

            “This has been a most interesting turn of events.”  Teal’c replied staring upwards.

            “Only around SG1.”  Thor commented with what looked and sounded like amusement just before he teleported out.
