What Comes Of Dreams Chapter 32 SG1
and Jacob Carter geared up with supplies from the Beta site and waited at the
foot of the ramp while the planet affectionately called, Goa’uld Central, was dialed up.
While waiting around for the techs in the control room to begin the
dialing sequence, one rather unpleasant Marine that had give Daniel trouble in
the past stepped up behind him and shoved him in the shoulder. “Look
what SG1 brought by, their infant member.”
The Marine taunted. As the
rest of the team turned to see what was going on, Daniel turned with reflexives
faster that any had thought and had the Marine pinned to the ground in a matter
of a split second. As everyone gapped in
astonishment, Daniel only glared at the Marine on the ground in front of him. “What
is going on here?” General Hammond asked
when he shook himself from the sudden shock of seeing what had happened. Daniel
having long ago been subjected to this Marine’s and his buddies idea of a
welcome to the SGC party, namely a blanket party where he was the main
entertainment, only continued to glare at the shocked Marine and his “buddies’
that stood off to the side gapping in shock. “Just
an overly muscled, primate having gotten out of the zoo, Sir.” Daniel sneered
at the Marines back. “Daniel,
why don’t you let the Marine up off the ground before the gate opens?” Jacked
asked Daniel in a polite voice. Releasing
his hold on the arm twisted behind his back and the knee from the small of his
back, Daniel slowly stepped away from the Marine. As the Marine came up off the ground he
charged Daniel with a full bit of anger and tried to land a right-cross as he
closed the distance. Daniel’s
team watched in utter astonishment as Daniel evaded the punch, and the next
that followed, only moving sideways instead of backwards. They caught the briefest of glimpses as
Daniel’s movements seemed to temporarily blur out and the next thing the saw
was the Marine flying head-long over Daniel’s shoulder in what could only have
been a shoulder toss. The Marine landed with
uncharacteristic bad grace and they heard a slight pop as he came to rest. Every one of Daniel’s friends turned to look
at the rather pissed off looking Archeologist as the Marines friends ran over
to check on the fallen comrade. What
happened next was a complete blur of activity.
The only thing they could tell was that someone charged at Daniel with a
knife before Daniel stopped said person with a jaw jarring kick to the
solar-plexus, followed by a knee to another combatants chin. By that time, the sound of three zat blasts echoed out and the remainder of the Marines that
had been gathered in the gate room were down A
sounding alarm broke everyone out of their daze as the scene before the
gathered members of SG1, a few members of the female Jaffa, some base,
personnel, Jacob, Hammond, and Chena. “What
in the blue blazes just went down in here?”
General Grange barked as he came running into the room. “I
think that some of your Marines just had their asses handed to them.” Jack said without even thinking. “Indeed.” Teal’c replied. “By
whom, do we have infiltrators on the base?”
General Grange asked the still stunned crowd. “No,
General Grange.” Ishta said stepping
forward with her zat lowered. “Three of the combatants were taken out by
Daniel Jackson’s own hand, the other were taken out by Teal’c, Er’ka, and
myself using zats.” Everyone’s
glance turned to Daniel who only stood there still looking severely pissed
off. With an uncharacteristic snarl to
his voice, Daniel finally spoke. “They
had it coming to them…if only they had left me alone for once.” “Alright,
everyone back to the conference room.”
General Grange sighed, boy was this becoming a
long day. Motioning
to three SFs that were standing by with weapons at
the ready, “Get those men taken to the infirmary and make sure they go
nowhere.” “Yes
Sir!” one of the SFs responded as he signaled for
those around to get to work. As
everyone walked in stunned silence to the conference room they had only
recently left, Sam hesitantly took Daniel’s hand in her’s
fearing that Daniel may lash out. Cringing
with the way that Samantha was so hesitantly taking his hand, Daniel cursed
what had just happened and wished he had just let the Marine bully him like he
had always done in the past. End Chapter Thirty-Two of This story along with all original characters and situations were created
