What Comes Of Dreams Chapter 35 As
everyone gathered together on the planet that they first met Chaka on, it did
not go unnoticed how Chena edged her way near Daniel. At first, Samantha bristled to this
encroachment, but a quick conversation with Jolinar helped to alleviate the
feelings of jealousy. ~
“She is scarred young one.” Jolinar chided Sam. “She is far from everything she
knew personally, and is probably experiencing things from her genetic memory.”
~ ~
“I know that, Joli, but it is still gets to me that she called Daniel her’s.” Samantha said with a pout. “I guess I am just being
a little insecure in out relationship with him, but we have only been together
for a short time and then separated again.” ~ ~
“Being territorial in the beginning of a new relationship is understandable, my
Samantha, but you must believe in the love that has already been shared.”
Jolinar said soothingly. “Daniel loves
us with all his heart, but he is also a man that has compassion for those
around him and strives to help them if and when he can.” ~ ~
“I know that Joli, that is one of the things that I have always loved about
him, but it has so often led to problems that I am worried. What if Chena decides that she wants Daniel
for herself?” Sam asked. ~ ~
“Then we will fight for him.” Jolinar stated with conviction. ~ Seeing
the worried looks on Sam’s face, Daniel firmly took her hand and started
walking away from the group for a private conversation. When he noticed that Chena was attempting to
go with him, he looked directly in her eyes and shook his head, letting her
know not to follow. Jack saw what was
going on and stepped over to engage Chena in conversation so that Daniel and
Sam could get a few minutes alone. “Sam,
what is the matter?” Daniel asked in a
worried voice. “Nothing
is wrong Daniel.” Sam said hoping her voice did not betray her. Shaking
his head, Daniel cupped Sam’s jaw in his right hand, stroking her cheek with
his thumb. “Sam, I know you better than
that. After all of these years of
knowing one another, do you honestly think that you can hide your feelings from
me? It has something to do with Chena,
doesn’t it?” Sighing,
Sam attempted to look down, but found that Daniel’s grip on her jaw was not
going to allow it. “I am worried about
what she feels for you will lead to problems. “ “Problems for us, or problems for her?” Daniel said with growing worry. “I will not leave you or Jolinar for anyone
or anything. Chena is young and has been
alone for quite some time. She was
raised mostly by humans and has developed human-like emotions. At the most, all she is really feeling is a
crush, like Er’ka. And just like with
Er’ka, I have no feelings for her other than friendship. You and Jolinar have all that there is of my
heart, body and soul.” Feeling
the worry slipping away at his words, closed the distance between her self and
Daniel and wrapped him in a tight hug.
As their lips embraced, the world slowly slipped away. Jolinar allowed Samantha to experience the
kiss in its entirety, not switching in to take any of it for her self. She knew that Samantha needed this to help
heal past hurts and insecurities. “So,
Chena, do you recognize anything around here?” Jack said waving his hand around
in the air. “Chena
sees things that are familiar to her, but does not know how. Chena has never been here before.” Chena related while looking around and
getting the feeling of familiarity through flashes of images and feelings. “Perhaps,
the Unas genetic memory is supplying the feelings of familiarity?” Teal’c
offered. Looking
at Teal’c, Chena cocked her head to the side in bafflement. “What is genetic memory?” Chena asked. “It
is memories of the past passed down through the generations to the offspring of
some species.” Teal’c recited. “The Goa’uld and Tok’ra pass memories in such
a manner.” “Tok’ra?”
Chena asked. “The
Tok’ra are what I am.” Jacob took up the
conversation. “We are the same species
as the Goa’uld, but do not act or believe what they do. We have fought for millennia to rid the
universes of them.” “Is
that why Chena feels the tingling when near you and Teal’c and Samantha, but
see that Daniel and Jack trust you and do not fight you?” Chena asked starting
to gain some understanding. “Exactly.” Jack said
with enthusiasm. “They are our friends
and allies. The Tok’ra are good, the
Goa’uld are bad.” “Chena
understands….” Chena’s statement drifted
off as she glanced over to see Daniel and Samantha in a passionate kiss. “They
are mated?” Chena said with a disheartened voice still looking at Daniel and
Samantha. “They
are very much in love and mates.” Teal’c said with a slight smile. “They have been in love for quite some time
and have only recently allowed for one another to know the truth.” Nodding
her head in understanding, Chena started walking in the direction that her
instincts had been urging her to go.
Letting out a whistle to alert the love-birds, Jack and the others
turned and followed. After breaking the
kiss and smiling at one another, Daniel and Samantha caught up with the others
and followed Chena. End Chapter Thirty-Five of This story along with all original characters and situations were created
