Chapter Sixteen

Without even thinking about it, everyone returned to Daniel’s chambers where Netti and Kara were found to be waiting. Looking at how tired everyone was, Kara approached Sha’re and Sarah and smiled. “Would you like for Netti and I to go get something for everyone to eat and drink my Mistresses?”

With a smile on her face, Sarah took one of Netti’s hands in her own and spoke in her natural voice. “You do not need to call us your Mistresses any longer. You may call me Sarah, and you may call her Sha’re.”

With a nod of understanding, Netti looked back at her friend, Kara, who then stepped up beside her. “Mistress…ere…Sarah, would you like for us to bring food and drink from the kitchen. I am sure that everyone here is hungry and it would be no problem for us to do so.”, Kara stated with a smile on her face.

Looking at the two women who were still so willing to help, Sha’re spoke in her own voice, “That would be most welcome Kara and Netti. Why don’t you bring enough for yourselves as well and we will all eat in here.”

With nods and smiles, and a little bit of giggling, Kara and Netti both headed towards the kitchen to get food and drink.

“Well, I am a bit surprised at how fast everything has happed.”, Sam said with a shocked look on her face. “I am not knocking it, but there was not fighting, no yelling, and even the priests and priestesses seemed to take the news rather well.”

“Indeed. I am pleased that so many Jaffa decided to stay here and help, and of their own choice. There is much honor in those men.”, Teal’c remarked.

“I believe that everything will work out just fine.”, Daniel stated while staring at Sarah and Sha’re. “We will have to remove the symbiotes from most of the Jaffa I am sure, and get them the new armor. As least the new equipment will protect them better than anything the other Jaffa may have.”

“Speaking of which,” Selmak started, “I would like permission to take one of those suites back with me for the Tok’kra to study. Perhaps we can duplicate it and then we can offer it to the entire free Jaffa and have it for ourselves as well. That is formidable equipment that would greatly aid us all in this fight against the Goa’uld.”

After a few seconds and glances being exchanged between Daniel, Sarah, and Sha’re, it was Sha’re that spoke first. “Sarah nor myself think this to be a problem. From what Daniel shared with us, there should be more than enough sets for the entire Jaffa corps that chose to stay and a few extras. We can spare a few suits. Daniel also expressed that Sam would like to get her hands on the devices he saw in the lab, I think that would also be okay. Sarah and I do not intend to use the Goa’uld devices very much, and probably only the healing ones if anything.”

“All of that was decided in just those few seconds of yall three looking at one another?”, Jack asked.

“The three of us can share our surface thoughts almost as if we have on mind.”, Daniel said. “It was meant as a way for those bounded to keep from straying in thought from one another, but there are definitely some extra side effects.”

“So, how long do you think we will be here for, Daniel?”, Jack asked.

“I don’t think that yall will have to be here all that long Jack. It will take a few days for the Prometheus to get here to pick yall up.”, Daniel stated.

“Yall?”, Jack asked. “I take it that you are not planning on returning any time soon then?”

“To be honest Jack, I don’t know. I would like to stay for a while, to spend time with Sha’re and Sarah, and there is the whole bonded thing. I am not sure how far or for how long I can be away from them before something bad happens to three.”, Daniel said.

About this time, Netti and Kara returned with the food and drinks on a tray a piece, and the other castle workers carried several more trays in. As soon as the trays were set down, the other workers left the room to return to what they were doing, with very happy smiles on their faces. Easy conversation flowed around the room while everyone ate and drank. Kara and Netti kept stealing glances at Daniel every time they got the chance.

It was Netti who became bold enough to address Daniel first. “Dan’yel?”, she said softly.

“Yes Netti?”, Daniel responded. “What is it you wish to ask?”

“Kara and I were wondering, are you going to be staying here or going home with the others?”, Netti asked.

Sha’re and Sarah both started giggling, drawing strange looks from the others in the room. Daniel shook his head and continued on, “I will be staying for at least a while. Why do you ask?”

Kara chose to answer this, after having her friend tug on her hand. “We were worried that we would not get to see you anymore.”, she said blushing.

Daniel could not help but blush at the grins on his friends’ faces. Sha’re and Sarah were rolling on the floor laughing so hard they started squeaking.

“Daniel you dog you!”, Sam laughed.

“Holy Hera!, Jack uttered.

“I do not understand.”, Teal’c said with one eyebrow raised. “Are you not bound to Sha’re and SarahGardner? Why do these women show such interest in seeing you more?”

This comment sent Jack and Sam into fits of laughter, and plunging Sha’re and Sarah into even deeper fits. It took several minutes before anyone could say anything.

Wiping the tears from her eyes, it was Sarah that responded to Teal’c. “It is something that Sha’re and I have allowed, Teal’c. The girls volunteered as gifts for Daniel on his birthday, and then we asked them to prepare him for the rite of binding.” Seeing the look of concern on Teal’c’s face, Sarah quickly continued. “It is alright Teal’c, is not something that will cause a problem. Sha’re and I are both willing to share, our Beloved is quite capable of keeping all four of us happy.

Jack’s eyebrows disappeared into his hair as he heard this. Sam took a moment to gasp as the image she had seen of him in the locker room shower flashed through her mind. They all could hear laughter coming from Le’at and Jacob as this went on.

After several hours of chitchatting in Daniel’s chambers, they heard knocking on the chamber door. When Daniel answered it, he found that several of the newly freed Jaffa were standing there. “We have come to ask that the symbiotes within us be removed. Actually, all of the Jaffa that are staying have asked that their symbiotes be taken out. We would prefer if the healing devices could be used, we have witnessed the madness that consumed the false gods from using the sarcophagi.”

“The symbiotes would have to be destroyed so that they will not infect anyone else. Would each of you prefer the honor of destroying your own symbiote?”, Daniel asked.

The grin on the faces of the Jaffa standing in front of him was all the answer anyone needed. Motioning for Sha’re, Sarah, Selmak, and Le’at to follow him, Daniel led the group back to the Great Hall. Seeing that there were four large fireplaces already lit along one wall, an idea formed in his head. Before he could even voice it, Sha’re and Sarah went and stood near a fireplace each and took out their healing devices. Seeing what they were doing, Le’at and Jacob followed along. Motioning towards Jack, Daniel walked over to a table and they both dragged it over in front of the first fireplace. Several of the Jaffa duplicated this action, and in no time there was a table in front of each of the fireplaces.

“Okay, what we are going to do is this. All of the Jaffa that want to be free of their symbiote, line up in form lines in front of each of the tables. Each of you will take a turn lying on the table, where Jack, Sam, Teal’c or myself will remove the symbiote from your pouch and hand it to you. Each of you will kill your symbiote and then toss it into the fire. Then, Sha’re, Sarah, Le’at, or Jacob will heal you. Do not be afraid, Le’at and Jacob are of the Tok’kra and will not harm you, but they are capable of using the healing devices.”, Daniel stated with authority.

Everybody took up their places and started the work they had ahead of them. Several of the Jaffa could not bring them selves to kill the symbiote that had been with them since childhood, so they allowed the one that removed it from them to do so. After several hours, each of the “healers” had to rest because of the amount of energy it took to do the healing. During this time fruit and drink were brought to everyone to restore them. Many of the Jaffa walked around showing others that they no longer had a pouch. Many even elected to have the symbols on their foreheads removed. It took several more hours to get through the entire Jaffa corps, and by this time it was late into the evening.

Following Kara and Netti down the halls, Jack, Sam, Jacob, and Teal’c were shown to rooms for them to use. After showing the guests to their rooms, Kara and Netti returned to Daniel’s chambers to see if anything more was needed of them. With thanks all around, they we told that they could go to their quarters or to their village and rest. Both women elected to stay in their quarters in the castle.
