Tarnished Heroes Chapter Twenty-Nine Don’t turn your back on me baby
“Perhaps it’s not fear of your Mistress which prevents you from going home?” Medea asked in a soft voice. “No you’re preventing me from doing that.” Medea let out a loud sigh and pouted those full red lips at him. “Hum,” placing one hand on her round hip and leaning her rather full frame further against the bars. “I saw the women you took in Bacchus’ realm,” she looked down at him with dewy eyes, “my there were many of them, Daniel,” she remarked with something that sounded like admiration, “and none of them looked like the Lady Callestah. In fact,” Medea pondered coyly and gazed down at her body, “they looked like me.” The hand at her hip now moved to the bars as well and she pulled herself a little closer. “Is it possible you don’t wish to go home because your Mistress is unsatisfying?” Medea asked with gossipy hope in her dark eyes. At the moment, Daniel Jackson had no conscious idea of why all those women looked like Sha’re. None whatsoever but he did know one thing. “My Mistress is very satisfying.” “Does Callestah let you do all those nasty things to her that you did with them?” Her eyes lit up even more. It had been a long time since Medea had been able to comfortably engage in sexual activity as a result she lived vicariously through Bacchus and the parties she was never invited to. She watched them from her mirror or, sometimes, from the hilltops so she could smell the food and hear the people clearer. “Why don’t you just let us go? I’m not going to tell you how to open the Stargate obviously you’ve been put here for a reason.” Daniel said in a snide defensive voice. He didn’t want to think about ‘those women’ and what he’d done and certainly didn’t want to discuss it with this bitch. “You didn’t answer me, Daniel.” Medea cooed disappointedly and batted her long lashes at him. “Do you those things to her?” “What do you want?!” “An answer.” “Some times.” He said through tight lips and folded his arms over his chest. “Why do you care?” “Them too?” She pointed at the sleeping figures of Jack and Teal’c while she licked her lips. “No.” Medea always did like playing with her food. “You don’t share her?” The sorceress’ voice showed her surprise and intrigue at his answer, her own hand sliding down the curve of her waist echoed it. “No.” He pulled his knees in tight. “Why not?” Daniel couldn’t take it anymore, she’d probably zap him and he’d wake up without a kidney but so the fuck what? “What the hell do you WANT?” He shouted and rushed the bars. Medea backed away at the sudden intrusion. “Let me out of here!” “Oooh so you do have a little spunk. Maybe now I understand what Callestah sees in you.” Her breathing was deep and shallow. Closer now in the dim light Daniel clearly saw the hard nipple of those gorged breasts pushing against the light cotton fabric. “Perhaps I would like to find out for myself.” “In your dreams.” Daniel walked away from the bars. “No, Daniel,” Medea countered lightly. “In yours. You think your Mistress is unaware of your deeds because you are so far apart and have yet to confess?” The dark lady winked at him. “But she already knows what you’ve done. So, what’s one more?” The dusty space between her legs tingled and desired even though it no longer grew wet or could withstand the intrusion of a man. No, that didn’t stop her from wanting too. Well, after all, she may be old and dried up but she wasn’t dead. Neither was he. Day by day and hour by hour she was growing younger and with three of them to feed upon that dry dusty place might grow wet again and she’d put this one to good use at that time. As much as he didn’t want to believe it, what she said was probably true. There was the possibility that Calla already knew everything and she was just waiting to clobber him when he walked through the door. The kicker on that one was; she probably wouldn’t do any such thing. Calla would be angry and she’d stomp off, she’d cool down, he’d apologize and that would be the end of it. Daniel might feel like shit over it for decades but she’d never mention it again just as she never mentioned Rowan/Psyche after he confessed and told her it was over between them. There was another dark haired/dark eyed beauty, yep, she had been. What the fuck is wrong with me? I’ve got the most kind, loving, giving, RED HAIRED GREEN EYED woman in the universe and I can’t Sha’re out of my head? After all these years? “I’m not going to have sex with you.” “Not even if it will buy freedom for you and your friends?” Medea tempted. “You captured us, tortured us, you took out Teal’c kidney for Christ sakes!” Daniel shouted. “Sucked half of Jack’s blood out of it and him for what? All just so you could get laid? I’m not buying that.” “Hum, well,” she clasped her hands together lightly and gave a like smile, “touché.” Medea batted her eyes once more. “I find if I can appeal to the male ego I can usually get what I want but I see you’re different. Perhaps one of them will accommodate me when they’re better.” She suggested and nodded at the sleeping men. “Of course that means I’ll have to start on you. Seems a shame but is there any particular part you’re not all that fond of and won’t mind losing?” Her stare fell heavily on his crotch. “That looks like a tasty mouthful, perhaps I’ll start there. Since you’re not going anywhere, you won’t be needing it.”
Lt. Colonel Samantha Carter and three members of SG-3 buzzed their way to the river on the ATV’s. It was pitch dark now but the vehicles had headlights and they helped immensely. The river was too wide for the ATV’s to cross and they followed it for a while to see if would narrow or if they could find some way around it. Slowing down on the rocky beach while they followed the shoreline, they shouted ideas at each other in the attempt to come up with a plan to rescue their teammates. The water was busy tonight it rippled and lapped against the shore as though there were a boat out there but no one saw anything of the kind. Large ripples seemed to follow them; the river was very active with schools of fish or something large was breathing down there. Sam reminded herself that if it was the latter their weapons were useless here. Knives and metals were fine but the guns would no fire and she didn’t know if the small grenades and other explosives would discharge or fizzle. Up ahead there seemed to be a spot where the river narrowed it looked almost crossable either on foot or with the ATVs. “What do you think?” Carter shouted to those with her as they came to a stop. “Best shot I’ve seen yet.” Lt Diploina returned. “Let’s go for it.” Lt. Dimas echoed. Slowly they began to cross the river. Ten feet across and it looked like their call was right, the water wasn’t deep at all here, it barely covered the bottom of the tires. Fifteen feet in and all was still well they grew more confident in their decision as the water lapped and sprayed them. Almost half way and those waves returned, they dowsed the ATVs with water and the engines cut out. “Shit!” Sam cried and dismounted. “Looks like we’re on foot from here.” This was no time for the engines to cut out. There was no telling what Medea was doing Jack, Daniel and Teal’c at this very moment. Out of frustration, she kicked her ATV. “S’go.” Not two feet away from the ATV and the nuisance waves, which caused the engines to die, became a great swell. The water bubbled and churned in the darkness and the Hydra, the Mother of All Monsters, reared its ugly serpents’ head. Instinctively they all reached for automatic weapons that were useless to them. They Hydra opened its huge jaws to reveal rows of sharp-knotted teeth as it struck downward and gobbled up Dimas in one bite. Rearing its head backward it tossed the live man down its throat, came in for Diploina who was starting to scream, and was easy to find. Another sharp downward strike and another man gone. Samantha ran for the other side of the river while the sea serpent came in for another strike. It missed Frakes but a few feet its face landing in the wet sand but soon it came back and didn’t miss Frakes the second time out. Reaching the far shore and hauling her ass as fast as she possible could Sam made her way away from the shoreline without looking back. She didn’t have to, she could hear coming after her. Its snake-like body slithering along the ground at break-neck speed and its jaws snapping shut as it reached out for a bite of her soft flesh. Running, her legs pumping as fast and often as she could make them go, her heart thudding in her chest and a hard sweat breaking out all over her Samantha turned to look back. The Hydra was winding its way back to the water. She didn’t stop running until she was sure it wasn’t following her anymore. Sitting down later to catch her breath, Sam thought the serpent must need water to breathe and couldn’t be away from it for a long period. A small fact but it saved her life. Unsure of where she was, where she was going or even if Lts. Miller and Johanssen accomplished their mission and were on their way to join her Samantha began walking in the darkness through the woods. She had no choice but to assume she was the only hope of rescue her friends had.
Lt. Johanssen was sent back to relay the message to Lt. Miller they found Samantha Carter and they were on their way to rescue the rest of SG-1 and it was task he accomplished with great expediency. Lt. Miller opened the Stargate and informed the SCG of their situation. Speeding his way back in the hopes of catching up with SG-3 Lt. Johanssen never heard or saw it coming when the gigantic Cyclops with his red skin and one bulging brown eye whacked him off of the ATV with a hearty smack of his club and dragged his mostly dead but still twitching body into the woods. General Thurmond picked up the phone, called General Hammond to relay the news that the men of SG-1 were prisoners, and had been held hostage for the past several days. He also told General Hammond that Calla Jackson had called a few times wanting to know if her husband had checked in. As was Daniel’s custom in these cases when he was gone so long, he tried to get a message through with each schedule check-in. Thurmond’s secretary had been shining her on but he wanted to know what to tell her if she called again. The details of Bacchus’ orgy were out of the original message and so he did have the information to relay to George Hammond. If that information had been available, General Hammond wouldn’t have pondered his next move for an hour or more. He would have simply waited it out and not placed his next phone call.
